This month’s podcast features guest host Dan Beerens, CACE Fellow, as he interviews Lynn Swaner and Roger Erdvig about their new book, Bring it to Life: Christian Education and the Power of Service-Learning. Ultimately, service-learning can help students to grow in their identity in Christ and in their ability to be His agents of restoration in a broken world. They can learn about how they are uniquely created for good works (Ephesians 2:10) and can gain practical experience in walking in those works, with Christian school teachers as helpful mentors and guides.  Listen Now

An excellent podcast to introduce an indispensable resource! This book needs to be on the shelf of every school that has either already begun a service-learning program and needs to enhance it, or the school that has desired to begin a program but has been reticent. In my opinion, this thoughtful and practical guide fills a gap between Christian education and real discipleship, showing a clear path to encouraging the next generation to become true hands and feet of our Lord Jesus, and also creating a peacemaking culture that can spread across the globe and into the future.
